About
Back in 2009 my husband was deployed to Iraq for a year. As a stay-at-home mother who home-schooled one child, I felt I could handle the whole deployment. I had kids and pets to keep me busy and occupied while he was away. While I kept busy and focused on things at home so I wouldn't focus on the dangers my husband faced daily, it was harder for him to occupy himself. As a military "guy" he always had paracord laying around to use for something. During some of his "down" time he learned how to make bracelets from paracord. He only had the basic colors available. - black, white, green a few variations of brown. He made the bracelets from himself and the others soldiers. It was something to keep him busy and his mind occupied on something else. When he returned in 2010, it was something he just did on the side. He would make a few bands here and there. Eventually we decided we needed to add more colors to meet the interests of more people. That caught the eyes of more people and people were requesting certain sizes and colors. Making the same bracelets over and over was becoming tedious, he started making key chains. We had people requesting certain designs and colors and even requesting them to pass along as gifts.
So, basically over time the inventory has grown. It is something that we can be involved in as a family as the kids love putting together their favorite color choices.
